I hope you had an amazing week! I wanted to chat about something that’s been on my mind since the latest podcast episode dropped. Your may have guessed it if you listened, but if not it is how eye opening it is to learn about perimenopause and menopause and the functional side of things. And let me tell you, the episode is packed with some eye-opening stuff.
We dive deep into how detoxing-the 3Ps, balancing hormones, and gut health are all connected, and it’s fascinating. But what really hit home for me was when we talked about perimenopause and healing hormones. It’s such a real topic for us mid-life mamas, you know?
I left that conversation feeling empowered, like there are practical ways we can support our bodies through every stage of life. And that’s what I love about the episode – it was like having a heart-to-heart chat with a trusted friend who gets it. (because she lives it)
If you’re curious about taking charge of your wellness journey, I definitely recommend giving it a listen. It’s like having a coffee dates wherever you are, chatting with your bestie.
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it! Send an email and let me know where you are at in this journey and what challenges you have faced during this new part of life.

>Quality Sleep: Prioritize quality sleep during menopause. Tips for improving sleep: relaxing bedtime routine, optimizing sleep environment, and managing stress effectively.
>Nutrition: Plays a role in hormone health- consume hormone-supportive foods rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Incorporate leafy greens, fatty fish, and whole grains into the diet to promote hormonal balance and overall well-being.

Change can feel uncomfortable, but if you reframe your thoughts, it can be an impactful part of the journey.

1 Practice- Diaphragmatic Breathing

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Find a comfortable seated position or lie down on your back.
  2. Place one hand on your chest and the other hand on your abdomen.
  3. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your abdomen to rise as you fill your lungs with air. Feel your abdomen expand, but keep your chest relatively still.
  4. Exhale slowly through your mouth, emptying your lungs completely. Feel your abdomen fall as you release the air.
  5. Continue this deep breathing pattern for several minutes, focusing on the sensation of your breath and allowing yourself to relax with each exhale.

Practicing diaphragmatic breathing regularly can help reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and support hormonal balance.
