This time of year some of us are experiencing our first second….child graduating. I hope this email finds you embracing all the emotions of this new chapter. As we step into this midlife, empty nest season, it’s so important to take a moment to reflect on our journey and the habits we’ve tried to build along the way to manage your wellness.
We’ve all been there, excited to start a new habit/routine, only to find it fading away after a few weeks. It can be frustrating and disheartening, but here’s a gentle reminder: it’s not about the habits themselves; it’s about going inward to ourselves first to get curious, find self-love and worthiness to then decide which habits will make us feel our best for where you want to go and that will be part of our future life.
When we talk about self-love and worthiness, it’s not just about pampering ourselves (though that’s wonderful, too!). It’s about truly believing and living from a space in our hearts that we are worth the time, the effort, and the love we pour into ourselves. When we honor our worth, we naturally create space for habits that nourish and uplift us.
Here are a few loving reminders to help you on this journey:
1. Start with Self-Compassion: Be gentle with yourself. Every step you take is a step forward, no matter how small. Celebrate it ALL!
2. Reconnect with Your Why: Why do you want to build this habit? Let it be rooted in a deep love for yourself and your well-being.
3. Celebrate Small Wins: Every little victory is worth celebrating. They are the building blocks of lasting change.
4. Create a Sacred Space: Make a special place in your home that feels like a sanctuary, where you can reconnect with yourself daily.
5. Embrace Imperfection: Remember, it’s perfectly okay to be imperfect. Our journeys are beautifully messy, and that’s what makes them uniquely ours.
As you take these steps, know that you are never alone. We are all in this together, supporting and lifting each other up. Let’s embrace our worthiness and go inward, one loving habit at a time.

3 Take Aways
1. Embrace new opportunities, even when uncertain, as they can lead to unexpected personal growth and benefits.
2. Prioritize self-care and intentional practices, like breathwork, to balance your nervous system and enhance well-being.
3. Moms should care for themselves throughout their journey to ensure they maintain a strong sense of identity when their kids fly the nest. (Unless like many of us we learn this after they are flying. Never too late to create the best relationship with yourself :-D)

1 Shift
This week, I decided to grow in a new way. I discovered another new fun way to move my body! Line Dancing!! Have you tried it? It was so much fun. Lots to learn as far as the dances go (lol) but I just got out there and moved and tried. I gave myself permission to just do it, do it messy and have fun! For me, that is growth, coming from a perfectionism brain. I give myself props for picking up 2-3 dances. WOOHOO..
What are you brewing up? We have the space and time to think of things we want to do that lights us up! I want to hear what you all have in your future plans to try!!
